Short hair

After three years of long hair, I'd had enough! So this past Friday I cut off nearly 5 inches. I'm definitely still getting used to it but it feels so much better!

Cooking Queen

As some of you have probably guessed, London is a big city and therefore going out to eat here is very expensive! Groceries are surprisingly inexpensive though so cooking at home is a lot cheaper!
In Charlotte, I used to eat out way too much and always felt so gross afterwards. But since I've moved here, I've become a cooking queen (thank you Pinterest).
Here are a couple pictures of things I've cooked lately!

2013 (you are looking good)

It's only the 8th of January but so far, 2013 is looking like it's going to be a great year already. Why, you ask?
- I already have all my jobs sorted out for the next month.
- I am making great progress in my Masters course.
- My friend Whitley is coming to visit me over my birthday week in March...and I am excited about other friends and family who have started looking at flights to come over here!
- I have a trip to Italy planned in March.
- I've been working out, eating healthy, and feeling great.
- I'm the happiest I've ever been (cheesy I know but so completely true!)

I have high hopes for 2013! I've learned so much over the last year of my life and one of my greatest lessons is "positive mental attitude". If you can be positive and stay positive, great things will come your way!

Lots of love,
Kristen xx

Back in the South and a London New Year

Hi everyone! Let me start by saying that I decided to make a NY resolution this year that I'll hopefully be able to keep up all year. I want to blog at least once a week. When I was back home in Charlotte for Christmas, a lot of my family and friends told me that they love reading my blog (thank you!) so I want to keep up with it. :)

I had a wonderful Christmas at home with my family and friends. Sadly, I was only able to stay for a week and it flew by. Next time I come home, I'll definitely stay for a couple weeks (that's a promise mom!). I got to spend a lot of time with my parents, sisters, niece and nephew. It was really nice to get love from my family while I was at home. :) I also got to see most of my friends! I'm so glad I did.

I celebrated New Years Eve here in London! It was a fun night. My friend Anna celebrated her 26th birthday so it was a NYE/Birthday party. Luckily when I got home, my internet was cooperating (a rare thing) and I called my mom and dad to wish them a happy new year!

Wishing everyone a wonderful 2013! I know I am definitely looking forward to a fresh start.

xx,
Kristen
