hi y'all! my name is kristen. i'm a small town girl (originally from mint hill, north carolina) now living in london. i moved over here two years ago to pursue a masters in special education. after finishing that program, i started working as a teacher for children with special needs. i absolutely love my job; everyday is a new adventure. i don't talk a lot about my job on the blog because it's very personal to me and i have a lot of respect for the children and their families. however, i will occasionally share things about being a teacher and ideas i like.
mostly this blog is a chronicle of my adventures in london. i write about the restaurants i try, the places i go, and the fun times i have with friends. i also write about the places i travel to around europe.
i take all the pictures on my blog using my iPhone 4 (rarely i will use my Nikon digital) and i edit the pictures using the afterlight and instagram apps. i also use picmonkey and iPhoto to give my pictures that extra oomph.
so sit back, pour a glass of sweet tea (or wine) and stay a while. i hope you'll enjoy what you read.
