life in london lately

The last few weeks in London have been pretty relaxing. I had off a week and a half from work (thanks to London school holidays) and I spent it stay-cationing in London. I had a couple massages, caught up on my admin, started a new gym, and spent lots of time with girlfriends. Adam went to India for just over a week for our friend's wedding but unfortunately, I wasn't able to go with. But I throughly enjoyed my time spent in this amazing city.

Before Adam left for India, we spent a lovely Sunday afternoon in the sun with friends at our new local pub, Hop & Berry on Liverpool Road.

I spent the first few days of my half term break just catching up on life and things that needed to get done. That Saturday, Courtney and I took full advantage of a gorgeous day with a nice long walk starting in Borough Market and going all the way down the Embankment to Duke of York Square in Chelsea. We grabbed a coffee at Monmouth at borough before setting off on our nice, long walk in the sun.

The next day was spent in the neighborhood with afternoon pub drinks and girlfriends. But that night I went to see Lady Gaga at the O2! These tickets were bought back in March, so I've been looking forward to it a very long time. It was awesome, but man she is crazy! Very entertaining!

My stay-cation in London continued on. I finally made it to Somerset House on Monday, and saw an exhibit on illustrations while I was there. We sat outside and enjoyed some treats on the river and then went for a walk in Covent Garden. The Christmas decorations are already up all over London!

Mid-week, the girls and I met up for cocktails at Zilouf's on Upper Street and tried the new United Ramen. Both were great, and lucky me United Ramen is just a 2 minute walk from the flat!

For Halloween, I dressed up as a 1920's flapper, but I didn't get any pictures of myself! By this point in the week I was getting pretty sick with a nasty cold and cough, so I was getting slack with the pictures! On Saturday, a big group of us girls went out to celebrate Courtney's birthday at Mare Moto on the King's Road in Chelsea. It was a fun night with girlfriends!

Now I am just counting down the days until Christmas vacation - 5 more weeks! I am so looking forward to being with family and friends in North Carolina!
xx
